The topic identification involved review of various primary and secondary sources relevant to ADOC’s operations.

                    - IPIECA Sustainability reporting guidance for the oil and gas industry
                 • World Economic Forum Global Risk Report 2025
                 • Global/regional trends in oil and gas sector, such as Oil and gas decarbonization charter, UAE's Net Zero by
                   2050 Strategy, UAE’s Climate Change Law 2024, ADNOC 2030 Strategy, etc.
                 • Materiality assessment review of peers
                 •  ADOC’s material topics of 2023, where relevant


            To  gather  insights  from  ADOC’s  key  external  and  internal  stakeholders  on  the  material  topics  identified,  survey
            questionnaires were designed. For the 2024 assessment, online forms was utilized as the survey platform. Separate
            questionnaires were tailored and distributed to internal and external stakeholders to capture their respective perspectives
            effectively. A diverse group of stakeholders was engaged to ensure a representative and balanced outcome.
            The assessment process allowed for validation of 20 material topics, which were subsequently prioritized and grouped
            under the four sustainability pillars. This prioritization ensures that ADOC’s sustainability efforts are strategically aligned
            with both stakeholder expectations and organizational objectives.



            MAPPING OUR MATERIAL TOPICS


            The development of a materiality matrix enables ADOC to determine the relative prioritization of the identified material
            topics, with each priority level requiring a different management approach tailored to its significance and impact.



                                                 As these topics can significantly impact ADOC and our stakeholders,
                 High priority topics:           ADOC will strive towards setting industry benchmark in these topics
                 Lead & Shape                    and be prepared for a strategic and forward-looking approach that can
                                                 be adopted by regulators on these aspects.






                 Medium priority topics:         For such topics, ADOC will  align with industry best  practices  and

                 Align & Monitor                 closely monitor as these may transition into 'High Priority'.






                 Low  priority topics:           Although of low priority, ADOC will manage these topics by regular
